DST Men’s Groups

From Harm to Healing is a men’s group program for those who are serious about stopping the harm caused by deceptive sexuality and integrity-abuse and are truly seeking integrity in their lives. The foundation of the group program is the extensive course developed by Chris Jones Therapy and based on Dr. Omar Minwalla’s DST model.

What is it?

Weekly accountability and coaching groups hosted on zoom for those working with the DST model or looking to incorporate the model into their treatment plan.

The group program is open-ended and provides an environment of accountability and intimacy where each client can work through the structured course at their own pace.

Who is it For?

The groups are for men who are serious about recovery and willing to own the harm and trauma caused by deceptive sexuality.

Anybody joining the group program can expect to be received with compassion and care, but also with an expectation of honesty, openness, and ownership. This means a willingness to be vulnerable and to share their struggles without resorting to partner bashing or victim blaming.

Why is it Different?

There are very few (if any) facilitated groups available that work exclusively with the DST (i.e. Minwalla) model.

Additionally, because the groups are based on a structured course, each attendee is working with the same material and approach. The course can also be shared with the partner which can provide increased safety and often gives good opportunities to discuss some of the resources together if appropriate.

How do the Groups Work?

Each member will join a specific group which will occur once per week at the same time each week. The sessions run for 90 minutes.

Each session will start with a short check-in from each member and then the majority of the group time will be used on a mixture of group processing (i.e. exploring specific issues or challenges that have arisen) and topical work or study drawn from the course.

The current group times available are:
