Group Guidelines
The Stage 2 groups are built upon the foundation of the Stage 1 program and are therefore only appropriate for people who intend to actively engage with their Stage 1 treatment plan and the wider From Harm to Healing work.
Please note the following:
- Stage 2 is a structured 24-session program that includes Treatment Plan Reviews, Mountain Work, and Attending Reviews.
- Members are expected to actively engage with the group process and continue working with their treatment plan throughout the program.
- Members are expected to complete any reflective exercises, worksheets or actions required as part of the program.
- Members are expected to participate in accordance with the structure and direction provided by the facilitator.
- The focus of group discussion should remain on your own behaviours, responses and personal processes. The group should not be repeatedly used to criticise or blame a partner, analyse their behaviour, or seek validation regarding relationship conflict.
- If significant CES/SA issues persist, additional external support may be recommended alongside Stage 2.
Intentionality
- Groups will start promptly, so please arrive a few minutes early and be ready to begin.
- Please attend from a private environment where you can remain engaged with the group.
- Please avoid eating food or drinking alcohol during group calls.
- Please avoid taking phone calls or engaging in other activities during the session unless absolutely necessary.
Group Confidentiality
- You must maintain the confidentiality of all members within the group at all times.
- You must ensure that group sessions cannot be overheard by anybody else and use headphones where necessary.
- Nobody else should be viewable on your video during the call.
- Group sessions must not be recorded, photographed or screenshotted, and information shared by other participants must not be disclosed outside the group without their permission.
While all participants are expected to maintain confidentiality, confidentiality between group members cannot ultimately be guaranteed by Chris Jones Therapy.
Limits to Confidentiality
I will sometimes attend supervision sessions where I can discuss case work with an experienced supervisor. In this scenario, I wouldn’t use your name or personal details but may discuss details from our work together.
In rare circumstances, I may be legally or ethically required to break confidentiality, such as where there are serious concerns relating to risk of harm to self or others, safeguarding, terrorism, serious criminal activity, or where disclosure is otherwise required by law. Wherever possible, this would be discussed with you beforehand.
Notes and Privacy
I will often write brief notes after group sessions to aid my work with you. These are stored securely and handled in accordance with the Chris Jones Therapy Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy can be found at:
Chris Jones Therapy Privacy Policy
Group Type
The groups within the From Harm to Healing program are for coaching and psychoeducation and are therefore not therapy groups. They should be seen as an adjunct to therapy rather than as a replacement.
Members are responsible for seeking appropriate additional support for mental health, medical or other needs where required.
Attendance and Program Structure
Stage 2 consists of 24 facilitated group sessions. Consistent attendance is expected, although it is understood that circumstances may occasionally prevent attendance.
Missed sessions cannot normally be replaced or refunded, as your place in the group remains reserved for you.
There may be planned breaks during the program. Where a session cannot take place because of facilitator availability, it will normally be rearranged so that the program still includes the full 24 sessions.
Group times are based on the current UK time zone. Due to daylight saving changes, the local time may vary for members based outside the UK.
Fees and Payments
The cost of this Stage 2 pilot program is £200 per 4 weeks.
Your place is reserved for the duration of the program, regardless of whether you attend every session.
Leaving the Program
Stage 2 is a structured 24-session program rather than an ongoing group. By joining, you are committing to the full program.
If circumstances arise that mean you are considering leaving, please discuss this with me as early as possible. Wherever possible, members are encouraged to leave the group relationally rather than ending participation without discussion.
Choosing to stop attending does not automatically cancel outstanding payments. Any cancellation or refund rights will remain subject to applicable law.
Issues and Concerns
All members are expected to treat each other and the facilitator with respect.
I reserve the right, at my reasonable discretion, to remove you from the program if I consider your behaviour to be disruptive to the group, to compromise the safety or wellbeing of other participants, or to otherwise constitute a significant or repeated breach of this agreement.
If you are removed as a result of breaching this agreement, you will not be entitled to a refund of fees already paid except where required by applicable law.
If you have concerns about the program or any aspect of our work together, I encourage you to raise these with me directly so that we can discuss them.
Legal Issues
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes arising from it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any rights you may have under applicable law.
As the CLIENT I agree to the following:
- I understand that Stage 2 is a structured 24-session coaching and psychoeducation program and is not a therapy group.
- I understand that active engagement with my Stage 1 treatment plan and the Stage 2 group process is expected throughout the program.
- I understand and agree to the attendance, confidentiality, payment and cancellation terms outlined above.
- I understand that the focus of the group is my own behaviours, responses and personal processes and agree to participate in accordance with the group guidelines.
- I agree to the Chris Jones Therapy Privacy Policy and understand the purpose of partner consultation as outlined above.
- I understand that Chris Jones may, at his reasonable discretion, remove me from the program where my behaviour significantly breaches this agreement, disrupts the group, or compromises the safety or wellbeing of other participants.
